Joe grew up in Judith Gap, a small town in central Montana. He graduated from Granite High School in Philipsburg and continued his education at Montana State University, graduating from the business school in 1988. After graduating from Montana State University, Joe moved to Seattle where he began his business career working in the sales of telephone systems and later accepted a Regional Manager position with Champion Laboratories, a position that led to extensive traveling for nearly 12 years throughout North America in the mining and heavy-duty truck market.
While living in Seattle, Joe became very involved in bicycle racing. Cycling continues to be a passion of Joe's, since moving back to Bozeman in 1997. At both a sponsorship level and as a passive racer, Joe continues to be very involved in the local cycling community. Joe is also an active volunteer for the Montana Special Olympics and the "Huffing for Stuffing" foot race that benefits the local food bank. Shortly after moving back to Montana, Joe started a carpet cleaning/restoration business that he owned and operated for six years. Having earned his real estate license in the spring of 2006, Joe sold the cleaning business to pursue his passion for real estate, full time.
After being an agent for 14 years at Heart of Montana Realty, Joe and his wife Emily purchased the business in July of 2019. Together they enjoy the challenges and rewards of operating a boutique real estate office in the heart of beautiful downtown Bozeman. Joe is an active member of the Bozeman business community. With his exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to his clients, he is an asset to any real estate transaction. Email Joe at jcoombs@century21hmr.com or call 406-600-3837
